Preveli

Preveli got its name from the monastery of Prevelis dedicated to St. John the Theologian. The beach Prevelis known as Lake Prevelis or phoenix located at the exit of the gorge where Kourtaliotiko passes the Great River . It is the most famous beach in southern Crete and receives thousands of visitors every summer . On the river there is a large colony of palms which smacks African landscape . It is poorly organized and there are no umbrellas taverns , snack bars and rented a pedal boat ride on the river.
